Dragon Hall is a community centre located in Covent garden which has several excellent speaking spaces including a large hall. I hired the main space to do a talk on the 26th of July 2006. I remember it was a very hot day, around 35 degrees. Perhaps as a result of the heat, both my laser pointers broke down. It was the first time I used amplification for one of my own talks, so there was quite a lot of equipment to carry down, including a Marshall amp, video projector, microphone and various accessories. Despite the heat and the few minor technical glitches, the talk was a great success. Below are some photographs of the talk.
The above photographs, taken by my girlfriend Emma, show the talk at various stages. I remember it was such a nice place to use, and there was even a fully fitted kitchen which we used to prepare refreshments. After the talk we along with some of the audience, walked off to the pub the Freemason's Arms and continued talking there.
